Roadmap: 0.0.05.2 and Beyond

Howdy gamers, Tired here. Long post ahead.

So. The big x.05 update. Just dropped it, then immediately had to do early-morning damage control because so much shit was FUBAR'd (by myself and LCP Editor in equal measure).

What's next? Well, I do have *some* ideas, but it's mostly nebulous drifting concepts for now. 

• SAIS-Lovelace: A Controller frame built around the concept of early Pre-Fall simulation engines. Gonna be a centaur visually bc I like that idea. Almost entirely invades and systems, because the concept of a company that makes air fryers destroying your computer is funny. Also I wanna see more bullshit hacker builds :)
• Lore rework! When I first made Systech as a foundry, they were in a sci-fi DnD campaign that took place solely in the Origin System. I've since realized several things are wrong about them being on Luna, and will need to remedy that if they're to work as a foundry and faction in the wider Lancer-scape of the Orion Arm.
  • First issue is that Union would NOT let SAIS do their bullshit right in orbit. That's like letting your cousin make meth on your front porch. Current plan is to have them out in the Carpathian Line, but I know a grand fuck all abt Lancer's state of the universe so imma need help for that one lol
  • Also apparently IPS-N was stationed on Luna a long-ass time ago? It wouldn't make much sense for Systech to be there now if IPS-N still owns property. SIAS might be dumb, but they're not THAT dumb
    • (it is at this point in writing that I have enabled the cocaine that is ULTRAKILL music. brainlet mode activated)
• Core Bonuses: fukin- uhhh... I guess??? I have no clue what to do with these, imma be real. Give me ideas, and I'll actually credit you.
• Art Rework: While I love the designs of the frames in their current iteration, I don't really think they convey how utterly fucked SAIS is at making them. The company is used to household appliances and factory assembly machines. The Norton1 is probably the closest visually to that idea, but we're still a long ways out.
  • Also the Vampyr art is jank as hell and I wanna change it >:(
• THE GUIDEBOOK: Okay, I know everyone and their mother makes a field guide for their foundry nowadays, but there are SO MANY ideas ping-ponging around in my skull that I'm a concussion risk. I wanna cover the lore of the foundry, the CA-VI and CT-VE, maybe even some of the weird shit that our wonderful "Acausal Consultant" has developed. 
  • The guidebook will be formatted to look like a military document because I find that fucking hilarious
  • Alongside information about the company, I wanna include: 
    • plot hooks for missions involving SAIS tech- including a custom [REDACTED] variant that I don't wanna spoil too much about
    • short stories about and from SAIS-frame pilots and engineers
    • more CA-VI stories (CHROMIUM, MERCURY, DURALUMIN, "Novel," GALVORN, TITANIUM, COBALT, ELECTRUM, THAUMIUM- and the myriad of others I'm yet to introduce)
    • more funny shitposts about Toasty bc they're literally just a teenager with a defense budget
  • Also it's not coming out anytime soon bc I gotta learn how to format PDFs- and get all the lore hammered out.

I wanna make Systech into a lore-compliant, base-game-comparable foundry. Ambitious, yes, but I have a feeling I can do it. 
But I can't do it alone. I welcome any and all feedback y'all have to offer. Usual routes of doing so are always open- tagged on tumblr @sais-official-pr, or in the comments here. 

For closing notes, I'd love to thank a few folks for helping me thus far. 

• First, the wonderful gang in the Sunspot RP discord server, for listening to me ramble about this shit in the homebrew channel at 1am- and giving me feedback when I swung the balance mallet a little too hard. I've been lucky enough to be accepted into the pack and shown the ways of LCP editing by giants of the Tumblr Lancer RP community. 
  • A hefty cheers to you all- and a warning that I will be in the homebrew chat again very shortly.
• Next, my D2 clanmates. I would say that it's odd that Destiny players would know shit about Lancer, but y'all have seen the flavor text in this LCP. The Rats and RT7 have been wonderful springboards to bounce ideas off of- and a particular thanks goes to them for the Turing's thermite mortar systems (among other things that I might use on the Lovelace). 
  • Without both groups, Systech would be slightly less guilty of war crimes.
• Then, my Patrons. I am SO FUCKING SORRY that shit's been wild for y'all. Patreon is a scuffed-ass website that I hate. Life has been hell. I've been losing my fucking mind.  It's been a downward spiral since I moved, and I'm sorry I've been absent. I love y'all, and I have no fuckin clue why any of y'all are paying me money.
  • Patrons will get special perks and variants in this LCP when this shit is over, trust. 
• Finally, you- the handful of scrubs who actually downloaded this trash and bothered to read 'till the end of this mile-long post. I have no fucking clue what you're cooking, but morbid curiosity wants me to ask.
